Helping Alaskans Embrace Our Greatest Gift - Life!

                                                             ALASKANS  FOR  LIFE,  INC
                                                                                Keeps working for unborn babies

This is an effort by local volunteers, families and church groups keeping a prayerful vigil outside of abortion clinics.  Alaskans for Life has chosen the six weeks of Lent for this effort starting, Monday, February 19th and ending March 30th during weekdays.  This involves a one hour commitment once a week for the six weeks.  If an individual can only join for a shorter period that is acceptable.  There should be a minimum of two people for each session.  Please feel free to join others in prayer on the sidewalk in front of the Planned Parenthood Clinic.

You may wonder: "Why do I have to go to the abortion center?
Why can't I pray at home or at church?"

You need to pray outside the abortion facility because your prayers there have an immediate impact on an urgent situation.

Yes, God hears and answers prayers no matter where they're said.  But when women arriving for abortions see the public vigil, they know and understand that at the moment they need it most someone is praying specifically for them.

Your presence there is a sign of hope for those considering an abortion... and a sign of mercy after an abortion  Many of the moms who have chosen life...and even former abortion workers...say the prayer presence outside turned them away from abortion.  They saw someone was there just for them.

The Health Fair will be held at Thunder Mountain High School on March 17th, 2018 from 8:00 AM til noon.   This is a good opportunity to inform the public on fetal development as well as abortion.

It is important to have knowledge of fetal development to realize exactly what abortion entails.  Even adults are often unaware of how soon babies have heart beats, brain waves, feel pain etc.  We have a quiz board that lights up with the correct response to the fetal development questions as individuals test their knowledge.

Remember to stop by and see our inter-active display or view our 4th dimension video of a baby in-utero.

March 17, 2018 at Thunder Mountain High School from 8:00 AM to noon.

Thank you.   To all you who gave part of your 2017  PFD to Alaskans for Life.  It is time for Alaskans to fill out their 2018 PFD application.  Please consider giving something to Alaskans for Life, Inc. for our pro-life educational efforts.,  Each year we use our funds to educate the public on the pro-life  issues by maintaining the airport diorama, running ads in the Juneau Empire and on the radio stations and by placing ads on movie screens around theatres in SE Alaska.  We have also done several saturation mailings in Juneau and in Se Alaska.  Pro-life materials are available for free at our booths and by request.   Thank you again for your help.

In a major step forward for the unborn, the Trump Administration's Department of Health and Human Services(HHS) changed language in its new strategic plan to include protection for "Americans at every stage of life, beginning at conception."  This is a dramatic shift from the Obama Administration--as the Trump HHS now defines life as "beginning at conception."  These three words make a monumental difference in the nationwide fight for the unborn.  The American Center for Law and Justice Newsletter, Nov. 2017.
